Iridescent

Iridescence (also known as goniochromism) is generally known as the property of certain surfaces which appear to change color as the angle of view or the angle of illumination changes. Iridescence is commonly seen in items such as soap bubbles, butterfly wings, and sea shells.

Etymology

The word iridescence is derived in part from the Greek word ἶρις îris (gen. ἴριδος íridos), meaning rainbow, which in turn derives from the goddess Iris of Greek mythology, who is the personification of the rainbow and acted as a messenger of the gods. Goniochromism is derived from the Greek words gonia, which means angle, and chroma, which means color.

Photography

Conventional photography only records the specific effect of iridescence (not the phenomenon itself), just as it only captures the effect of three dimensions (representing them with two); however, iridescence can be reproduced by holography (which includes phase information).

I searched this out of curiosity and because of the late single of the Band Linkin Park, "Iridescent". And I found that this word means a lot of thing to me, as an Photo/Image enthusiasts, and as a human.

Iridescent is also the soundtrack of coming "Transformers 3: Dark of The Moon"
from their fourth studio album A Thousand Suns

This song for me is very meaningful. This song became one of my favorite. It deserves to be listen, feel and understand. This song makes Linkin Park my favorite band again as of 2011.

Trying to Find Someone to Love

In late year 2010, I met a girl who named Joyce Anne Igno. We became friends in Facebook. She told me that she add me as a friend because she saw my collection of edited pictures in my album profile. And she said that it was beautiful. I m very happy to hear that from a person who didn't even know me. I'm happy to know that there is someone out there that can appreciate me, my work, and for who I am. She told me that her mother was from my province and she use to live here at a short time. She asked me to make her an edited photos. Because I have some vacant time, so I spend it with editing her photos.

Joyce is a tall, chinita, and beautiful woman. Besides of her outer beauty, she is very kind, warm hearted, and friendly. One thing I cannot forget from her is, she can trust me even though we only met at Facebook. She even want to see me in person. Until one day, I was surprised that she told me that she was here in my place. I can't believe her at first, but she told me so. Then we met. I rushed to the street to find her, and at last she was there. I cant even move my lips to say any words, then she start to ask something about me and in my place. She told me that she's form her cousins, not a long distance from where we are. She have to go back quickly after she saw me. I was happy to see her in person. But I'm shy because I have nothing to show off.

One day I was reading her info and I saw this quote about she is trying to find someone to love.

I read this quote in her Facebook Info so I put this dedicated art work for he. That girl was Joyce Anne Igno. From her back, you can see what I am talking about. How about more if she turn in front?

My Computer

Dec. 23 2010, one of my wish came true. It is a brand new Computer. Yes, I finally had my new computer after 7 years of suffering in my old crappy PC. My Parents gave it to as a Christmas gift and it makes me very happy. Now I can do many things that I cannot do with my old PC. Now I owning an HP Pavilion p6540d (Intel Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E6600 @ 3.06GHz, 320 WD Hdd + External 320 WD Hdd,2.00 GB RAM, 512mb ATI Radeon X1650 Series, 20" HP LEDLCD Monitor, 2.1 Phillips Speaker System)

compared to my old one's (AMD Athlon @ 1.49 GHz, 1 GB RAM, Built-in 32mb Videocard, 180 WD Hdd, Dell 15" CRT Monitor, 2.0 Creative Speaker System)

This computer is not as powerful as what you can see in commercial uses, but now you can the big difference in my works. I installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on it as my primary OS, And I'm planning to install other OS'es. I also installed some of my trusted softwares, games and utilities. ( I will post this later.)

Microsoft Office 2010

I tried to download the technical preview of Microsoft Office 2010 and I'm using it. The new MS Office is faster than the old versions. It has a lot of changes. More easy to use and with a better design. I got some screenshot for you to see what I
really mean.

I'm waiting for the complete and official release of this MS Office.

The Graphics Interchange Format (GIF) is a bitmap image format that was introduced by CompuServe in 1987 and has since come into widespread usage on the World Wide Web due to its wide support and portability.

The format supports up to 8 bits per pixel, allowing a single image to reference a palette of up to 256 distinct colors chosen from the 24-bit RGB color space. It also supports animations and allows a separate palette of 256 colors for each frame. The color limitation makes the GIF format unsuitable for reproducing color photographs and other images with continuous color, but it is well-suited for simpler images such as graphics or logos with solid areas of color.

I tried to make my own GIF's. And this is my own latest GIF. I used to edit my own photo to make my eye blinked. I used three different frames in this GIF. At first I have no idea of how to make GIF but when I observed them, I got some clues.

I'm planning to do more but I'm still studying some techniques to make a better one. I'm not satisfied with my skills. I want to learn more and more.
